Central Vacuum Attachment Set – Crevice, Elongated Dust Brush and Upholstery Tool (X188)

The X188 is the three-tool detail set that ships with the InterVac GarageVac, sold on its own for $28.50. It is for the jobs a floor tool cannot reach: car interiors, workbenches, window tracks, vents, blinds and upholstery. Buy it to replace tools you have lost, or to add a detail set to a central vacuum from any brand.

What Is in the Set (3 Pieces)

• Upholstery tool with slide-out dust brush – natural horse hair bristles that stir up embedded dirt, pet dander and allergens so the airflow can lift them. The brush slides out of the way for bare fabric cleaning, so it is two tools in one.
• Elongated dust brush – a longer, narrower brush head for dashboards, door panels, baseboards, blinds and vent louvers.
• Crevice tool – for seat rails, between cushions, along baseboards and into corners.

The X511 Long Crevice Tool is not part of this set and is sold separately.

Fits Most Central Vacuum Systems

These tools are built to the 32 mm (1-1/4 in) standard that most North American central vacuums use. They fit every InterVac system – Pro, CS, RM and GarageVac – and they commonly fit units from Beam, NuTone, Broan, Husky, Vacuflo, Hayden, Cana-Vac, Duovac, Cyclovac, M&S (MD), Astrovac and Electrolux. They also fit a standard 32 mm telescoping wand.

What they do not fit: 35 mm (1-3/8 in) European-style wands, and portable canister vacuums such as Shark, Dyson and Miele. If you are not sure which you have, measure the outside diameter of your wand. It should be about 1-1/4 in.

If You Also Need a Hose

The X188 is tools only. If you are starting from nothing, or your hose is failing, our complete kits include a 35+ ft stretch hose, a telescoping wand and floor tools alongside the detail tools – see the TK108-B, TK108-TB and TK108-TBM. A bare 35 ft crushproof hose on its own runs $78.99 to $83.99 elsewhere, so the full kit is usually the better buy if you need both.

X188 or X199?

The two sets are the same idea with a different dust brush. The X188 has the elongated brush, matching the GarageVac package. The X199 has the round brush, matching our TK-104 and TK-108 series kits. Pick whichever matches the tools you already have, or whichever brush shape suits the surfaces you clean most.
